Mother of God what a pair of Voices
Apparently she asked him to do the Duet ( as he has played the Phantom before ) and he agreed to do it on the condition that he be allowed to perform it live with Nightwish and she agreed

I've long been a fan of Floor's, there aren't many singers who not only have her range, but the ability to change through that range so quickly. One moment she's high soprano, and the next she's belting it out with the best rock and metal singers (i'd love to hear her do a duet with Lzzy Hale). I knew of Henk before this (my wife is Dutch), but had not heard a lot of his stuff before. His version of Sound of Silence from the same show is amazing, he's just sitting there putting out what looks like minimal effort (complete with a little "hmm, that wasn't too bad, was it?" look at the end) and absolutely nails it, serious vocal power. And again great range, especially as he's technically a baritone.

Yes. I meant we need a collab between Sershen/Zaritskaya & Lzzy Hale / Halestorm (as in either solo or as the band). :)

    Going a bit oldschool:

    Also...

A little lighter than my normal preference but works so well. More Halestorm esque in a way.

    Also Also...

    Loving the duet.

    :)

Been quite an eclectic mix this week, going from Linsey Stirling to Dark Tranquility via Unleash the Archers.. :D

Haven't caught up with these guys in ages. To be fair though, with 15 albums in the last 8 years - 5 of them being released in 2017 - it's pretty damn hard to keep up.

They're pretty awesome, such a wide range of musical styles. I love seeing/hearing bands exploring and developing their sound.

My wife and I are currently listening to The Princess Diarist on our way to and from work (she works a 10 min walk away from where I do). The audio book is an account of Carrie Fisher's casting and recording of Star Wars as noted in her diaries. The best thing about it is that Carrie is reading it and she's awesome. Her daughter does read a few bits from the actual journals as she is about the same age as Carrie was when she wrote them. Her parts are a bit boring and whiny though as she just doesn't have the comedy that Carrie did.

It was recorded in October of 2016 and Carrie died in December 2016 so she doesn't sound like the best of health on the recording, but that doesn't matter one bit, it's Carrie and I still miss her.

The recording won the 2018 Grammy for best spoken word recording and it is well worth a listen.

It helps that she's smoking hot too.
