Nah you've got Vega. And you're adding pumps and etc right?

You can see on the last page that it's drawing 427W under full load or 66% of the max capacity. Most PSUs I think reach peak efficiency at about 50% load and normally don't drop off too much after then so that's pretty much about right. Adding another GPU would start to push that PSU too far (not that SLI is worth the hassle nowadays).

Question. How do you guys get the Metro Exodus benchmark running?

Every time I try to launch it it says it can only be launched through the Epic launcher but there's no option there :S

    Thanks

Most modern consumer PSUs are comically over engineered so there is barely any variation in efficiency any more all the way from 20 to 100% load (and with Titanium PSUs from 10 to 100%).

The only reason to not run them at a high load these days is the design of the cooling solution (aka fan noise).

Thanks for the timely response :D

It seems Epic have finally fixed the benchmark tool :)

Would be nice to have decibel levels (or another proxy for system noise) on the reviews.

Totally agree - but I also suspect that this is very hard to do in a controlled way and that a lot of sites that report it are reporting very noisy values. Pun not initially intended.

Yeah, I think this is the sort of thing that a number of review sites do to differentiate themselves, but I'd be surprised if their methodology was particularly robust or accurate.

To be honest I think a lot of PC hardware reviews are pretty poor in terms of being robust, or in terms of drawing overly significant conclusions from results that contain a significant margin of error.
