Maybe a refurbished model from laptopsdirect might get you what you want for closer to your budget? This perhaps for £520

    https://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/ref...0h-8gb-1tb-256gb-rx-ve-a1-7dz60ea/version.asp

    Has a Ryzen 5 3550H, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD. Short warranty only though

    Check out the dell outlet.

The sites a little bad but you can find bargains.

You can order from both the home and the work side. Personally I'd stick with the business oriented models. (Have 2 27" ones for my parents for over 3 years, both have been solid)

I love me a refreshed sock. Can't wear them twice... ;)

Don't rule out an Intel NUC mounted onto a monitor with a VESA bracket, gives you the option of upgrading both the PC and monitor later. The price would also be cheaper.
