That video showed that he's still using a business solution brain to approach a problem that requires a scientific approach... and that - by his own admission - he isn't best placed to look for a solution; all he's doing (albeit in public rather than in private) is brainstorming an issue best left to a private session... trying to promote thought processes.

The thinking he's doing isn't wrong, per se... just that he chose the wrong time/vehicle to voice that thinking - that is where he's failing publicly as a political figurehead.

 

Fire also kills the virus, so we should also try burning patients alive to see if that helps.

It's really worse than this for so many reasons. It's not an accident that he's having this side bar conversation while standing in front of the microphone. He thinks he's smart. He thinks he has good ideas and he wants everyone to see him having these good ideas, especially if one of them turns out to work.

We're months into this. I've been stuck at home for five weeks. And he just said this now. So as stupid as these ideas are, he's just coming up with them now. That's how slow he is. Worse than that, he's the leader of an entire country and has a very large base of conservative idiots (not saying all conservatives are idiots) that are uneducated and will hear him say this and will try it. People will inject or ingest cleaning supplies to try and fight this thing and kill themselves. Trump's stupid remarks will kill people.

Leaders have the responsibility to temper fear and stick to facts. Trump just wants his ego stroked.
