You have gotten a LOT of use out of that HP side panel. :D
@Jeff Hine -It's because I plan/design way beyond my abilities. This time the design only fits in a gantry cnc... from China.

It was a joke for cheapskate (in reference about your yesterday post; don't be offend) that he makes 5 years for mod because of his crashed CNC ;)

I've just sand the first mastic coat, and apply the second coat. AND, dry it faster in my oven :D

I didn't realise you wrote HP panel but in fact it's the left panel of a COOLER MASTER C960 II advance :naughty:. That make a BIG difference

    Great job with the tray.
I hope you don't cook in that oven :worried:

    You should start...
Materials and tools are such an investment for your second project.
Because there will be a second one

    Suspend it:

    Then paint it black!:

All that work for that (my heart doesn't know if it was a worthwhile goal)

Anyway, I've done the core tray recycling my Cm 690 II advance

Sanding panel before applying hematite oxydizer:

Crafting my power water sandig tool (piece of wood, paper sand, paper tape and a old white wine cubitenaire recycled in water fountain)

    DSC_0874.jpg DSC_0875.jpg

Sanding with ater for hours and hours with different kernels of papers sand following steel vein (4 faces, almost 3 hours)
    DSC_0876.jpg

Result of 3 hours of sanding: lot of steel dust with water looks like steel mud!
    DSC_0877.jpg

    But I appreciate the result:

Then cleaning and preparing steel before its treatment:

    Little update today:

Stick the foam band to isolate from vibrations between core tray/rear panel and also seperate/canalize differents airflows (GPU, CPU watercooling and PSU) to prevent mixed cold and warm airflow preserving hardware temperatures

And that foam band will also hide screws between core tray and rear panel:

I've also done oxydation. It's a very quick reaction (oxydizing, washing with water, stopping rusting process with chemical neutralizer, wash with big water again, drying and waxing to stop as soon as possible corrosion chain...).

All that should be done very quickly, otherwise... :duh::waah:

So, I wasn't able to illustrate it with pictures... It was impossible to be in two places at the same time.

But the render seems awesome to me!

Now, I'm waiting C14 plug and i will put all together, shake them and then, i'll finish this scratch build. Hope people that follow will appreciate it.. Show the reslult in few days.

    Namasté
