Hmm, it's not working for me.
I've registered and it says "You can't add any free games to your account"???

 

Maybe they restricted access to the free games to people with at least X month's old accounts?

 

Do you have 2FA enabled?
Because they started requiring that recently.

I had to enable 2FA but otherwise no problems. I do have a slight issue in that I don't have 90GB of HDD space though... whoopsie.

 

I've only had a brief look at Epic but I picked up Watchdogs a while back but couldn't see any way of just adding it to my library like on Steam and not downloading immediately.

Don't suppose you know a way?

Why would it be on Steam?

 

You can add games as non-Steam games to your Steam library. But the game will natively be in the library of the store you bought it from.

 

I was asking re Epic specifically, i'll give it another look - i'm probably just missing something as it's new to me or because it was a freebie there was only a download option and it only shows in the library that way.

I presume I could just uninstall or cancel installation downloads and it'll still show in the library (like it does in Steam).

 

I don't understand what seems to be the issue confusing to you. The game is shown in your library the second you buy/claim it. Have you set the filter in the library view correctly? If you can't see the game set it like this:



If it says "Installed" instead of "All" we found the culprit.

It needs the Epic launcher to run, but hey.

 

No, it was just when you get a freebie I was wondering if you can just add it to the library rather than downloading immediately.
