We actually have a fairly creative solution to this. The issue is the data protection office of the company has had medical issues and therefore I legally can't do it atm. We're working on a solution.
Similar name but very close. Yes it's up to the user to delete posts. We don't do that as I wouldn't be able to do my actual job.
Please remove the users name from your post as it defeats the point. Thank you :)

@The_Crapman dude, I can't see anything other than a great recovery. TBH from the pics I wouldn't have known if you didn't tell me.

Just watch yourself, if you look at anything too long you can find nano imperfections or imperfections that aren't there.

Anyway, a winner's story is always better if there are trials and tribulations along the way :thumb:

I've never understood exactly why people feel the need to 'disappear' from a forum. While it's obviously none of my business and not my decision to make, in my mind there's nothing to gain from it.

Personally I quite like occasionally travelling back in time to look at my posts, remembering the state of play at the time. Allows me to reflect on where I've been and where I am.

I'd imagine it's either a) when people register using their real names and end up posting things they aren't proud of for whatever reason, or b) when they are still easily, publicly identifiable regardless.

The other option is just that people are suffering from paranoia, or just enjoy being difficult. GDPR has certainly been an enabler for petty, contrary people based on the number of subject access and deletion requests I see coming through my workplace. But it's their right in law

Of course, forum deletion is nigh on impossible since if you've been active and quoted repeatedly the evidence will remain until the forum shuts down.

You got me. I was never sure why I felt the need to censor my surname (Winker), and my parents had a great sense of humour hence the first name.

Do you know what, I 100% knew that someone was going to post that, and was 100% certain that it would be you :hehe:

I walked into the bathroom and just caught a glimpse of a spider disappearing under the rim of the toilet seat. However, when I lifted the seat to dispatch the little blighter, he was nowhere to be seen! :worried:

I'm not afraid of spiders but it does make me a tad uncomfortable knowing it was right there and vanished seconds later.

So until I can hunt him down, my bathroom visits are altogether a less relaxed experience, and have thus dubbed him Cotton Eye Joe:

Where did he come from? Where did he go?

I developed a bit of a condition repeatedly looking under the toilet seat when I was in Aus seeing my mates. No way was I going out slumped on a toilet after a spider noshed on me jingle jangles.

Talking of Aus, today may only be as warm as an Aussie spring evening where they'd be wearing several layers but I just can't do this heat.

    Feel like a polar bear.

Retrenchment... full payout makes it more stomachable, but alas, it's not a great feeling.

    Receiving. Neither is pleasant, admittedly.
Receiving hits home differently, though (having been through both now).
