Assuming it's just the recased Clarke AC7000 that it looks like: the duct attachment solution for your window SUUUUUUCKS. Be prepared to sort your own attach-to-the-window bit with a hole for a 150mm hose to attach.

Be a bit cheaper to wedge them into a tub of ice cream.

It's being shoved out of the letter box or up the chimney, I'll get something working

Is that the one that a bloke wearing nothing but Speedos set the speed record on during WW2? ~145mph IIRC.

OK, so I massively underestimated the amount of heat this thing chucks out though its exhaust vent, it's more than enough to defeat my lash up.
Will have to do some tinkering and knock up a proper sealed exhaust for the letter box.

I actaully remember seeing a bespoke letterbox exhaust on amazon (I'm in a similar position where I got a AC and am having fun with tubes!)

Yeah, I'm seeing 101 different adaptors and venting options but nothing that wouldn't need a hacksaw taking to it.

The wife is currently modifying the micky mouse universal window jobbie that comes with the unit to make it fit the letter box through judicious use of a hack saw and a tube of high temp silicone

Definite risk of postie / leaflet bod jamming something in it! Suggest a sign making it clear not to do so!

I dunno. Set up a camera and record people getting letters/newspapers blown back into their face/fired across the garden. Could be fun

Don't think so? You must mean Burt Munro's Indian at Bonneville?

Already thought of, it'll only be connected after I've had my morning perv at the post lady, no one else posts anything though our door, no spam, flyers etc.

And in the unlikely event they do I sit next to the front door looking down the drive, so job jobbed.

Plus the massive amount of hot air will be a massive give away :p This one shows it being used with a letterbox :)

Aircons are one answer to DYING OF SWEAT, but there's another...

    upload_2020-8-13_10-36-36.png
An Asus C202XA Chromebook, which is notable 'cos it has a spill-proof keyboard. Couple it with some rubber bungs for the ports - I've got one for everything except the DC jack, which I'll either have to ignore and hope for the best or make something myself out of earplugs or something - and a tray that goes across the tub, and I can work from the bath.

(My original plan was to get a Panasonic ToughBook for the same reason, but you never know if the used ones have all their seals intact and the brand-new ones are crazy money - this was £179, and should be good enough for a bit of Google Docs while enjoying a cool soak!)

EDIT: Actually, I think this particular model might charge from USB Type-C - it's basically an Arm-based tablet with pretensions, rather than the Celeron-based laptop of the C202SA and other models.
