It's a tough job, but somebody's... wait, no, they don't, do they? Huh.

It's perfect - bike somewhere, break down, walk back carrying broken bike.

There probably is a bike market for casuals. I'd seriously consider one if it was electric, backed by a warranty and under £600. I currently have a cheap e-bike from a no-name brand and it's brilliant, but would pay slightly more if a major brand, ANY major respectable brand with a reputation to protect (even AMD) started selling real e-bikes at reasonable prices. (And no, the niche bike companies charging rip off prices for e-bikes of £1500+ don't count)

Well, yeah, there absolutely is, which is why the likes of Halfords will sell you a BSO for £250. That's the same ballpark as these AMD bikes, and they'll be similarly crap.

clearly not an bike for hardcore bicyclers, but they don't have a clue what AMD are, nor Intel and Nvidia for that matter...
for those if it doesn't cost 7000$, got carbon frame and got an Cannondale sticker (or similar overpriced brand) on they would not care and call it a BSO.

the MTB i clearly recognise from a local chain here in Norway and those are 2499,- NOK ($277) with their "brand" on but with disc-brakes instead (cheap wired disc brakes though)
clearly reliable Shimano gears and peripherals so at least not some Chinese knockoff brand for gearing but guaranteed the same heavy steel frame...
and while 200$ more than the 100$ pure chinesium bikes with gears made of cardboard and hotglue it will be way more reliable, but not more than what an 175$ bike would be... so you could say that there is an 125$ tax for the AMD stickers

but as a price on an computer-party for some competition this is gold... and those 12-15 year old kids playing Fortnite have good of exercising a bit and a heavy steel frame is only thing that can withstand those kids trowing things around.

Whatever dolt in PR ok'd this needs sacked. Think of AMD's worst product ever, and it's miles better than this BS.
I'm no AMD fanboi, but theyv'e got a decent brand - having it slapped onto this crap is does it no favours. All it says to me is AMD has 1 or 2 employees who are useless, and a couple of seniors who are too lazy and feckless to ask for mediocre as a minimum.
Sure a run of 5,000 only costs £400,000 cause they're that bad, and is but a scrap of petty cash for AMD, but about any other alternative way to waste 1/2 mil on crap would have been better than this

... You know that AMD hasn't actually pivoted to bike manufacturing, right? It's just licensed the brand to a bike company. The money is flowing one way and one way only: towards AMD, not away from it.

Wot? I thought this is why Navi isn't out yet because they're busy fitting saddles.

    TIL.

That argument works perfectly fine when Porsche gets money from Lacie, because the "Not actually designed or made by Porsche" external HDDs are no better or worse than regular external HDDs.

However by associating itself with these lowest common denominator bicycles AMD does run a risk of damaging its reputation in the long run.

Arguably true, but at least AMD isn't actively paying for that risk. Nor retooling its cleanroom air filters to pump up tyres...

Could be worse, at least this is a bike and not a bulldozer.

I have to say, I'm just disappointed the bikes only come in black and white. Why not Radeon Red?
