Nor me... perhaps intentional to drive a few on the fence towards the digital?

I won't be swayed and will happily pay the requisite £90 extra for the ugly bump.

 

Wonder if the PS5 will get the usual Slim makeover in the future?

Not sure i'll pick it up early doors, no games grabbing me just yet, but it will be the bumpy bugger for me too.

Would like a black one mind.

Undoubtedly we'll get a rev 1.1 that has some jank worked out, a larger capacity model, a slim, and then a pro. 'Tis just the way now I think.

I'll be getting one at launch if I'm able, with PS4 backwards compatibility for digital and physical along with a bunch of Triple-A PS+ games, fills the usual launch void which normally has me waiting until the spring.

 

I'm not a fan of it aesthetically full stop. Ideally there would be something between Microsoft's breeze block and Sony's "hey we just discovered the curve tool" effort.

 

There does seem to be more than usual available at launch, unless i've a selective memory.

 

I'd pay a pretty premium for an "Integrators" edition in a rackmount with front-back airflow, or failing that a standard 430mm AV form factor.

 

I wonder what it looks like if you just take the white covers off.

They actually look like something that could pop of and be replaced by other options for £x

 

I'm not sure previous launch consoles from the main players have inspired a warranty-voiding level of confidence to do such a thing.

 

I'd like to see how it's constructed, those white covers look like they could be replaced, whether at a user level rather than just at manufacturing I don't know.

Even if Sony for some reason chose to not sell Hardware DLC... replacement covers from 3rd parties seem inevitable due to the snap on design.

The console itself is reasonable £70 a game is mental. That’s like 3 tripple A pc games

exaggerate much Lucky to get any AAA PC games RRP at sub 40 never mind 3 at sub £25, AAA PC games are only that cheap after 6 month to a year, console game launch RRP are always strong, buy it in a year and get the cheaper titles as you would do on PC.

Just looking at recent PC games FS2020 £59.99, wasteland 3 £55.99, COD and BF £54.99 etc.

 

Wasteland 3 I paid less than £20 for, and if I knew it was part of Xbox pc pass I could of had it for £1 lol as it was shorter than expected.

My concern would be if you buy a digital only ps5 and your locked to Sony store, you will aways be milked that £70 at least.

if you buy the normal version tesco usually sells the popular games like cod and Bf fifa ect for a lot cheaper than Sony’s digital store
