Please don't take it personal but sales like that mean nothing anymore in the age of DLC:

    8.74 for the game
    47.68 for the DLC bundle
15.49 for the DLC not in the DLC bundle

£71.91.. for a game that is technically speaking 75% off.

Yes but also normally (in my experience of paradox games anyway) even just the base game is still great, so yeah you won't have all the stuff, but you don't need all the stuff either.

and lets be honest, the Stellaris base game is pretty bloody sizeable without the DLC...

    *shrug*

Can say the same about many modern games TBH, there aren't many big-name publishers left who don't stuff their properties with live services, premium currencies, microtransactions, endless DLC packs, etc.

I just thought it was a decent price for the base game :).

Which is pretty much why I moaned about it in the first place. As I said nothing personal, just me being sick of general industry bs.

    PvE, fine.
PvP, a swift and embarrassing way to die.

If you don't want to spring for a HOTAS a controller + keyboard works pretty well, mouse and keyboard struggles with the finer control of throttle + thrusters + orientation at the same time, which is only really a problem against other humans.

I don't own one but am looking at the Thrustmaster T1600m and the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. They both have twist axes which are useful in my head in space sims. The joysticks I owned 25 years ago all seemed to wear out pretty quick, not sure if things have improved.

Edit: The links are for reference more than to be bought from; the Logitech should be cheaper but stock levels are low what with covid and MS flight sim I think.
