I mean I'm really hoping for some quality responses to the news to really encapsulate that phrase.

I'm pretty sure somebody will fight the idea that the closure is related to Le Brexit.

Oh, they'll be OK. They'll have their 'sovereignty' to keep them warm and fed.

They're also not going to lose their job, I guess. And if they do, they'll just get snapped up by a random company who just happens to have an open spot on their board.

As the freshly faceless keep preaching...

Everyone knew exactly what they voted for.

"All of that was made very, very clear. Don't forget that the government put out a leaflet to all households, saying that the NHS would have cuts, that pensioners would have cuts, that we would have half a million unemployed, so you can't tell me that people weren't told." --Leadsom, 7 June 2019

And of course Hunt said that businesses failing and job losses "will be worth the sacrifice" (30 June 2019).

When they said they wanted an Australian-style system, evidently what they meant was shove them on a remote island somewhere -

    EDIT:

    pathetic...ally predictable.

Yikes, that sounds like the opening lines of the next torture scandal. It'll be an interesting sell to tourists on the Ascension Gold Club, pay no mind to those grey buildings and tents in the distance, no they're nothing to do with the RAF.

That is how I feel at work.

But you're right. Brexit is as bad as many people predicted, but I'm sure good ol' Boris will find a way to make it worse.

    Necessary, justified and predictable.

Just one teensy little wrinkle... ever looked at a calendar? Pending legal action from the EU won't make rapid ratification of any deal (no matter how thin) easier...

Oh we won't get a deal and any problems will be blamed on Covid.

I highly doubt the EU cares or has to worry about that. It's not like anybody expects Boris and his group of "politicians" to make any effort towards a solution.
