A subscription to GameGlass, now that I got it working with my Linux Star Citizen installation.
(It turns a tablet or phone into a touchscreen controller for either Star Citizen or Elite: Dangerous.)

Have you looked into salvaging NC500MPs or NC502MPs from FusionAmps, or just finding a source for them bare?

Either way looking forward to your posts on the project, which I demand are plentiful.

I'm really struggling to decide what's right for me - between DIY, boutique builders and the likes of NAD, and Purifi, NC400, NC500, NCore-MP, NC1200... Inability to have in-situ trials with most of this is no help at all.

Heyyyyyy. Some **** sneaked into my mum's house and changed out the D5 I was 100% certain I had for a sodding DDC. *red face*. I had to cancel the D5 Monsoon kit and order this instead.

Is it a PWM DDC? If not I'd return it for either a D5 or a PWM version.

    It's a 3 pin DDC.

I've had the pump years. Someone donated it to me ages ago. It was fitted to a manky old bay res. For some reason I could have sworn it was a D5 so I ordered that kit up there for a D5. Got over today stripped down the rig and it's a DDC so I've ordered a cooler and top for it and cancelled the Monsoon.

I'll post a thread up later in hardware when I've had some sleep.

I've just bunged a few quid to Wikipedia, I always do when they have a drive. It's the last bastion of integrity on the internet.

    Am I missing something?

Some versions are Snapdragon (better), others are Exynos (worse) ... Europe gets Exynos, USA Snapdragon.

I'm not going to notice a real world difference.

Absolutely. I think it's better phrased as "Exynos is fine, Snapdragon is marginally better, and you won't notice the difference between either outside benchmarks."

I'm not sure I've noticed a difference in phone performance since... Nexus 5x maybe?

Actually, you will. Exynos' battery life is worse.

I saw some early stuff suggesting that, but this review of the S20+ and S20 Ultra says it's a lot closer-run (I know that's not a Note 10, but it was the best I could find on a quick DuckDuckGo): S20 Ultra Snapdragon ran for 14.05h in the web browsing test, while the Exynos version ran for 14.03; in PCMark Work 2.0, the Snapdragon version ran for 13.04h, and the Exynos version for 11.98 hours.

"The key point is to stay away from the seemingly broken Performance mode on the Exynos chipset and you’ll have roughly similar battery life results between the two SoC variants of the S20. Naturally, that’s only being achieved by the fact that the Exynos does showcase worse performance, saving energy by using the more efficient lower performance states more."

Quick example. This morning I read my daily paper, browsed with Samsung Internet, had my Reddit fix using the Boost App and did a bit of tweaking. That came to a screen on time of 2 hours 7 minutes for exactly 20% battery life. That extrapolates to around 10 hours of screen on time. I'm not going to notice a real world difference.
