Peripherals What are your favorite switches?

I have tried, cherry mx blues, razer greens, razer orange, holy pandas, and novelkeys cream. So far I really enjoy Holy Pandas Lubed with trybosis 3204's.

What about you guys? I would like to try out more! I mostly prefer tactile switches though, not a fan of typing on linears, I really need some type of feedback when pressing down a key D:

Light Switches, they're great and mean I can see even after it gets dark.

For gaming: Romer-G

 

Use reds daily but I do like blues if a little noisy.

I'd use blues daily but I know people would complain.

I used to use blues back in the day, i loved clicky keyboards, but it annoyed a lot of people when on calls lmao !

The MX Blacks in my Majestouch.

Although I have been thinking about picking up a bunch of the MX Grey's and swapping..

 

post offices used to use keyboards with brown cherry switches the layout was bad but the keys were great, they replaced them with some naff generic ones now with a even more horrid layout

gaming wise prefer cherry reds, but atm using a logitech 915 keyboard with romer g switches

MX Browns for me.

 

If you have the time and the patience, MX Clears with Black springs make for a really nice switch. The Clears have a graduated spring with a pretty high peak force [edit - 95 cN] to mitigate bottoming out, but they can be quite tiring. Replacing it with a Black 60 cN spring more or less turns it into a slightly heavier MX Brown with a more pronounced tactile bump.

 

Interesting. I feel like I'm going to end up with a tester selection before I make my decisions.

I also looked, some time ago, into some "super green" springs that are, supposedly, 130cn.

I really like the heavier actuation, makes me feel like my fingers are getting a workout.

 

I must admit I have a limited experience with various keys (I know reds, browns and blues), but I quite like blues. They come closest to those classic IBM model M keyboards.

 

The IBM boards used buckling spring switches. MX Blues with Cherry profile caps are fantastic to type on, I just can't bear the clicking.

 

I've used Romer-G (Logitech K840), Cherry black (Steelseries 6GV/2), and most recently Cherry browns (Ducky One 2).

I like the black's best but I hate the non-standard layout on the 6GV/2. Browns are my next favourite, although I don't have much use time on them. The Romer-G lets just say I prefer a generic capacitance keyboard.
