"Lots of stock" coming in the next two weeks means... well, I guess we'll see. With Ampere so far any comment like this meant "really just a handful of cards".

I'm upgrading as a Christmas present to myself. I'm more concerned about GPU availability.

I reckon a CPU weighs about 50g, so "tons" would be at least 35 thousand or so...

    Split across say 75 countries (35K / 75 = 466)
    Split across 4 models (466 / 3 = 116)
Split across say 3 stores on average per country (116 / 3)

Then that 35K would translate into a mere 38.6 CPUs each shop got of each model on average.

So it would actually have to be way more than a ton shipped:p

My board ships tomorrow Asus x570 ROG
    My CPU (5800x) who knows.
    I was told i would have a better chance of a 5800x than a 5900x.

He did say "tons", plural. So that's at least two tons, which is 77.2 processors per store!
    ...
I hope they're giving a discount to the guy that gets the 0.2

Not done on a semi-wet napkin = instant dismissal of results.

Like with gpus when there is a waiting list for one it means they did not ship enough of them

A while off then if AMD are drip feeding?!, wow only 40 units expected that's pretty low for the 5800, definitely a paper launch :(

Not as bad as the 7 million OCUK took on 30 series.

With current prices that's about 14 cards.
