See that's a cool accessory ... wish Fractal would release modern IO plates for retro fitting in their older cases.

Nice. I was tempted by the blank panel myself. How much was postage? Last time I looked at buying any Ncase accessories the postage costs were insane, but that was a couple of years ago, before they moved sites.

Is it just the blanking plate you're after? I think I have two - I'm sure they sent one with the silver panel set I ordered.

    [edit] Yep:

BTW, if anyone has the STL file for Optimum Tech's replacement case feet, give me a shout.

Where did you find that? They’re always out of stock when I go looking for one

Ah, that is very decent of you, but as I have a v2 M1 then I need the full front I/O unit replacement - can't just bolt on the blanking plate. Thanks for the offer though, much appreciated.

And as for case feet, I toyed with the idea of getting some fancy machined ones but went full ghetto and bought some rubber hi-fi isolating feet that just stick on to the existing feet. Raises the case by about a centimetre and stops fan noise being transmitted through the desk. Looks **** though :D

In what's hopefully nearing the end of this seemingly never ending shopping list, two Keter Oakland shed/cupboard things

Oh, man, are you having to downsize after splurging on that saucepan set?

A Wharton 4900x.05 .R.S, it may be a smidge overkill for my study, but hey no.

I hope that is absolutely nothing like the one I bought for my mother. Which has bowed, bent, buckled and fallen apart in high winds. It can't even take the British sunshine ffs.

Me too. Was it the same make/range/model?

I started looking at some cheaper ones (Palram) but the testimonials are much as yours, flimsy. I would hope these ones would be much more solid. Lifetime warranty, so we’ll see.

I would go metal if you can mate. If I ever replace hers I am deffo going metal.

Edit. No it's not the same model it's just a small shed with two front doors and a flip up lid. It's not black (grey and green) so I am puzzled as to why the sun affected it so badly. I mean black? yeah that's going to absorb some serious heat.

It was also missing the hinge for the lid when it arived too. That said that was here nor there, as when they did sent it the first high winds we got (near the sea) broke the plastic padlock inserts and the lid simply ripped up and flew away like an air brake. One screw holds it to the metal hinge.

As I say, if I ever do replace it (not sure I will now she can't use it any more at all) I would deffo go metal. And bolt it to the ground also.

You can see how bad the sun fade is on the roof. You can also see where I had just had to use epoxy and acrylic to put on metal hinges, as the hinges were so brittle when the wind got a hold of it they just shattered. I got some new padlock things for it a while back, it's now locked. Apart from the roof of course, which I could not repair. Mum put a plant on it to keep it down in the wind and when it got hot in the sun it simply bowed in.
