    FFS.

I need an ITX board, CPU with onboard and RAM for my music streaming box. Piss easy right? nah. I decided against the el cheapo Sandy bundle on Ebay because it does not have HDMI out. I couldn't be arsed with adapters etc, plus I wanted something better any way. "Cool, I will upgrade a tad and get a 3200g !" none to be found. "OK, what about one of them Athlons?" none to be found. Anywhere. "OK let's get a Celeron" none to be found.

After spending three hours getting absolutely bloody nowhere by sheer accident I stumbled across this thing.

    Checked the QVL.

And bought both. Perfect, and absolutely silent.

A knife sharpener for the kitchen knives.

Also some arduino stuff, just in case I go mental and make Facebone's eyes move. I won't, but just in case I do.

A 4tb one of these at £75 because, well, my good lady ain't going to back anything up

And an as new set of these wired usb headphones (only a couple of quid cheaper but with Amazon's 30% off some warehouse stuff made them just forty quid)

Got them already, pleasantly surprised (barely any box damage). The sound is decent and the design actually makes them comfortable compared to my HyperX's that crush my fat head.

Plus i have a Roccat board and mouse already so it means I don't need even more software thanI have already. I don't do pc rgb but a low blue on my peripherals helps me see in the dark :)

    Oh yeah and

    It's a chonker alright...

Totally fluffed the insurance though. Was planning to go and pick it up on Monday, so I bought insurance for Monday... Except that my current policy doesn't finish until 16th of December and they won't issue proof of no claims until that point, because technically I don't have three years no claims right now - I have two years, eleven months, and 1 week... But my new insurer wants proof of no claims within a week of the start date of the policy, the 7th December...

So I now have to either convince them to delay the start of the policy or wait a couple more weeks for the proof of NCD... Both of which are likely to cost me, either in increased premiums or fees for changing the policy...

Ah, that's slightly annoying. If the worst comes to the worst then you just cancel the policy before it starts and take it out again from the 16th/17th. Have you paid any premiums yet? If not, then I am fairly sure that you can cancel without being charged.

Edit: as ever, read the small print but I am reasonably sure that you should be able to cancel the new policy before it starts without penalty. :)

I've wanted to do the North Coast 500 for a while, and this is the perfect bike for it. Just have to convince the other half to get on the pillion seat now .

Hotels? I guess that's a better option all round if you have the budget.
So, just ONE small obstacle to overcome!
Some spectacular places to see and visit in Scotland. We did Edinburgh, Glasgow and a west coast tour by Micra 20+ years ago on our honeymoon.

I bought one of those and returned it. I was getting USB 2.0 speeds possibly due to the use of 'SMR' tech.
