    Hi All,

I know we have some lycra-loving cyclists on here, and also some rank amatuers (myself included)...
So i'm looking for some advice on the best way to "hang" a bike from/on a wall.

I've seen some kits that let you hang it from a pedal, and rest the wheels on small shelves - this seems like the ideal solution as it keeps it as close to the wall as possible - but im not 100% sure on how suitable or safe it is, or even if its not going to damage the bike itself...

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Background info:
We have a brick-built outhouse/store that's ~1.5m wide; down one side is some heavy duty shelving, and the other side is for access and bike storage. At the moment the bikes inhibit (easy) access...

    I have arrived...

Think you mean things like the Cycloc Hero etc. Other options,

Good ol wall hooks (they do folding versions too)

Clug, come in all sorts of widths

Feedback sports Velo Hinge (folding normal wall hook)

Feedback sports Velo post (other brands about)

Hiplok Airlok - also locks the bike

Or if your brave you can easily make your own from wood

I run a variation of this, granted it's only holding up an 11" and a 14" wheel'd bike, but they have been there for 2yr so far with no issues.

I've never been more offended in my life!

Was thinking specifically of the garage workshop thread, rather than suggesting that he was the only bike guru here

this. Was looking at these as they seem to offer the smallest footprint when not in use and keeps the bike as close to the wall as possible... my bike being a 27.5" wheel (Trek Marlin 5) is slightly bigger than your usecase...

@legoman what are your thoughts on this storage method? you didnt include it in your list!

Those are fine as well, I was more throwing up other options. Only thing you need to watch is if you have huge tyre, anything more than 2.6 won't fit. Cookie works in the bike trade if they're good enough for him they will be ample for anyone else.
