Hi I'm looking for a favour please. I've been a member on hexus for years but they made me change my password for some reason (5+ years ago) I forgot what it was and as my interest in techy stuff was waining at that point so I didn't bother getting it's sorted. This Covid carry on has reignited my interest, mostly because there's not much else to do I'd imagine I've tried to recover my account but I never seem to get an email. I also emailed via the contact us on the main site over a week ago but have had no reply. Would a forum member mind asking a mod on there for help please? I don't really want to make a new account if I can avoid it as I've been using sgoaty for over 20 years now Thanks Scott

Offer to send him a bucket of KFC and you'll get a quick response from the Doge. You have to actually send the KFC though (not just promise), 'cos he can remove as well as restore privileges.

Are you by any chance trying to reset your log in on a mobile browser? Password resets etc on Hexus never work for me on my phone, either get 404 errors, no link or login quota errors whereas switching to desktop to do it usually works fine.
I apparently get free scan shipping from here on my old email address and don’t on hexus which is my new email so I’m currently using a right dodgy email account over on scan just to avoid shipping costs. 1st world problems. Also, every time I post on hexus it has to be approved, I appreciate why for new members but for me, someone who had a similar issue and created a new account as a result, it’s just left me in an can’t be a@£&d state of affairs over on hexus so I stopped posting. Logged in, posted again, waiting for a mod to approve which can take a few hours. That’s the issue for me.. time!

Not all too much point I don’t think really. I’m at 5 posts I think now so I may be lucky and not have the annoyance of getting everything approved again. As for the old one, I can’t remember what the use name was, only that I had one. Emails registered as I already know but that’s as much info as I can pull from it. Time will fix the niggles in posting, I just have to be bothered.
