I did watch one or two on YouTube. They did a good job updating it whilst retaining the character of the original.
TIL that one of my favourite films "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension" will finally be getting the sequel teased during the end credits back in 1984. Today I learned how the moon and sun create the tides. I'd always known it was the case but had never really grasped how? Anyway, it seems that their gravity pulls the water towards themselves in two big static blobs, and the earth just sort of spins within them, causing them to appear to move round. Obvious, really
TiL that the Ruskies had some pretty detailed maps of the world, I also learned that I would like to own some, but alas consumerism in the capitalist west has made them too bloody expensive.
