As of yesterday, all 30x0 FE cards have been removed from Nvidia EU & UK web stores. The pages now only link to AIB cards at retailers. However, FE cards still appear on the US version of the page, for purchase at Best Buy in USA, Canada & Mexico.
I thought I had read that FE card supply in the UK was practically non-existent anyway? It seems like Nvidia have treated them like a stunt - make 'em really good, sell them at unreasonably low prices, but massively restrict supply. Good reviews for the chips that then should help the AIBs. Seems a bit shady to me!
Spotted an Asus TUF RTX 3080 on Gumtree locally this morning at £1,500. The boys are looking out the pitchforks and refuelling the flaming torches right now...
Way i see it is if your selling your old GPU for £100 more than it should be worth .. then the £100 greed tax i paid for my 6800 aint so bad ... Even if you wait for the stock levels to normalise and the prices that are not going to hit their MSRP the second hand market will go down with it ... so its all relative as far as i can see .. Providing you have a current GPU to sell anyway.
Some of the highest-clocked 3080s seem to be around the 1k mark, which doesn't seem totally insane, but it's still a lot of moolah.
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/peripherals/printers-and-scanners some 3070s in stock now .. stupid money though and they have increased the prices on the 6800s since Tuesday anyway..
Scan's 30x0 tracker page now only lists 3080s. Other Ampere cards are now on the regular site, but with no prices listed.
That's my take too. Sadly, the remaining 3080 list still shows 505 outstanding with only 108 expected this week & 26 next week.
SCAN haven't even got back to me regarding my recent order for a 3XS system which has an ASUS RTX 3080 TUF 10G (I think I remember it being £750) - I wanted to see if there were other options I could take advantage of. The initial telephone call before I placed the order indicated that they would phone to talk through options. Initial updates suggested a delivery date of 2 weeks which has now been moved to end of March. But as they have taken my money and all I have is an order confirmation, I'm not holding my breath.
Seriously, people need to stop letting retailers away with this ****. If they've taken the full payment, haven't told you when you will get what you've paid for, and aren't responding to queries, I would 100% be cancelling. Otherwise you're just lending them money for nothing. Don't want that to sound too harsh - appreciate that you may not have many alternatives but to wait in the queue until stock is available, but I genuinely think it's horrendous that companies are taking full payment from customers when they have no idea when they'll be able to fulfill orders.
