Many years ago I owned a Citroen BX19 RD. One day whildt driving home from work, came round a bend and a lorry forced md in to the gutter. Ruined a front tyre but, fixed the bent wheel with a hammer. Much to be said for steel wheels.

@DeadP1xels I sympathise. I remember in 2017 I burst a tyre hitting a damn pothole at night. That was a fun way to spend the evening and early morning before going to work with a new tyre (somehow nothing else was affected).

TANGENT! Lorry drivers are currently the bane of my life, driving to and fro on the A50 each day. I'd really like to know if they deliberately elephant race just to piss people off. I once saw a pair hold up an ambulance for 2-3 minutes as neither of the drivers were willing to slow down.

A lorry convoy on a dual carriageway is the very definition of "Rolling roadblock".

This is a good point. If you persist, you will likely relieve them of some money. My late father-in-law made a successful claim and then talked about it endlessly.

Just be sure to take a picture of the pothole before they fill it in and claim you're full of arse.

One of my colleagues got £100 out of his situation. Not much, but better than a poke in the eye with a floppy weiner.

On the road to get my electronics. As I am still recovering from splenic infarction, I'm doing my damnedest to just stay awake in the station. It's really hard. Once we get on the road I can rest some. But that won't happen til 2, it's 12:20 now.

One of my colleagues managed to corrupt one of our qlikview documents.
Qliktech, in their infinite wisdom, decided to drop some of the recovery tools from the latest versions of the desktop client.
Internal IT does not regularly back up our server, for unknown reasons.
A snapshot was taken about two months ago when we migrated to Azure, was deleted after two weeks.
We have no back up of it or any way to recover it.
Boss just dropped it on me to rebuild from basically nothing.

Third reinstall of Skyrim to fix a nonstart issue. Pretty sure I have it figured out, but MAN will it take forever to fix those mods. I can't make heads nor tails of so many of the mod managers now, and that's necessary with the big mods (new lands, more armor, etc) that I want.

I've been the Dragonborn. Now I want to be something else. The game supports it, so why not?

Man. That covid jab is f*****g gnarly.

Saturday night was one of the worst nights of my life. At one point I just curled up in a ball and resigned myself to my fate. I couldn't even stand up.

Starting to fade a bit now, but still feel very hot.

The lady had the AZ first jab on Friday too, she was in bed all day Saturday and basically exhausted all day Sunday. Seems alright today, but has the ol' muscle aches.

I must have got a dud dose, nothing but a bit of a tight arm the day after, I was looking forward to a few free days off work..
Wife had super mild cold symptoms for a week.

I like your thinking, send him to nursery in a hazmat... mitigate the risk at the source
