If I was painting the cables, surely I should paint them grey to match the wall

I'm thinking the path of least resistance for now is painting some conduit I'm pretty sure I have hiding in the garage somewhere, which might be good enough for me to forget about.

And if not, a false wall as suggested has always served me well in the past.

Treated myself to a set of Rotring Isograph pens, which are now arguably my favourite things in the whole world.

For some reason the College set is really cheap on Amazon at £33. Each pen is around £25 if bought individually.

 

Ooooo, nice. I do love some Rotring goodness. My 600 pencil goes everywhere with me.

 

The way to deal with cables, is to not look at them.

The problem is not there if you don't see it.

 

Y'know what @Mister_Tad ? A bit of nice-looking pipe might do it. I was contemplating running cables round my workshop in a lacquered bit of copper pipe with nice fixings, until I realised it would probably bankrupt me.

All this pen chat reminds me that my best and favouritest pen has been languishing in my locker at work for over a year now

 

Well funnily enough, Mr H, that is exactly what my favourite is!

To make matters worse, they have become a lot more expensive than when I got mine about 5 years back.

 

Actually, neither of those things. Last time I checked (admittedly a couple of months back) they were going for about £50 (third party sellers only on Amazon). I paid about £30 for mine (the brushed metal version). If they're back at a reasonable price then I may have to bite the bullet and get a second one. Not much chance of being back in the office before the end of the summer, by the sound of things.

 

I've already used an iPhone for a very long time (and will likely never switch back to Android). A month or two ago I got an Apple TV. Recently I've found myself very tempted by the M1 MacBooks (once they fix the issues with SSD use/wear and bricked machines). And today this arrived:



Apple Watch SE Cellular.

I am becoming that which I once despised.

 

Reminds me, new roll means I no longer will need to be in the office (when that's even allowed again) I still have a load of crap in there.

I went through "the change" around 18 months ago... iPhone, iPad, watch, MBP, TV.
No regrets, all good times.

Perhaps something vaguely shuttle shaped would fill it out and hide the rest of them. Is what I'll tell Mrs_Tad.

it's not that bad mate - I too am in the Apple-sphere and pay for their ultimate package each month for News, Music, TV, storage and Fitness (which, I must confess, is amazing - it's not going to be for everyone but me and the missus love joining Jamie Ray and Amir for HIIT workouts on a daily basis!
