So very much yes. People seem to think I've gone insane when I talk about playing Mechwarrior in the giant 'VR' pods in the Trocadero, but it was real damnit!

 

I was so disappointed when I realised only recently that it's no longer the awesome place I visited last when I was... 13?

 

Last time I saw Mechwarrior pods, it was in the basement of the Hyatt Regency hotel in Chicago during the 2012 World Scifi Convention. Fun fact: The fire doors opened onto Lower Wacker Drive, as mentioned in Blues Brothers.

 

I am lucky enough to have a couple of ex-Troc arcade cabinets. But - I wish it was still a thing. That R360 :heart:
