I often get messages on MS Teams through work from people asking for help. Now to find me they have to input my correct name (Stephen) but I still get Dean or Peter quite often.
New doctor thinks he knows more than the specialists I see and has started taking me off vital meds. This will end badly. He somehow thinks I'm faking the genetic disease that killed my son. This is about to get nasty.
Now listen here Deaphenter, no one is daft enough to forget your name after having to type it in to find you. I mean remembering meccanoboy isn't hard is it?
Jeez, we are the same. I wonder how the heck they missed that when it's just there in the mail already. Funny thing is, unless you point it out, they will never notice it.
TIL - The Boston Dynamics Spot robots used for security patrols at SpaceX's launch site in Boca Chica Texas, are named Apollo & Zeus after the doggos in 80's TV show "Magnum PI"
TIL that the Ace Combat series is a prequel to Galaga, that's official Namco Bandai canon. Sadly I have to call BS on that one, Jack Black was born 8 months before Apollo 13's launch date and he was the youngest of his brood. His mother wasn't pregnant during the Apollo 13 mission, but she was part of it, the Hubble Telescope design team too.
I may have to call BS on your BS-calling: the Apollo Abort Guidance System was not made during the mission, but before the mission. Thus, it's entirely possible that Cohen was in labour while finishing up the work on the project - eight months before Apollo 13 actually launched. And she was an employee of TRW, Inc. and worked on the Abort Guidance System as per her son (Professor Neil Siegel, not Jack Black.) However, I have no idea if eight months from finish to launch is realistic, or if the AGS had to have been completed considerably before Black's birth. I only know it's plausible that she was still working on ironing out the last kinks eight months before mission launch.
Looks like it's only partially confirmed: In other words, did Cohen work on the Apollo Guidance System? Yes. Did Cohen solve an engineering problem at the hospital while in labour? Yes. Was said engineering problem related to the Apollo Guidance System? Possibly, depending on when the AGS project was finished and how quickly Cohen was moved onto TRW's next project.
I think we can all agree that solving the problem is a far greater achievment than giving birth to that idiot.
TIL that there very likely won't be a Lego Movie 3 or a Lego Batman Movie 2. After the sequel performed under expectations (still made $100 million-plus in profits, mind you) Warner Brothers sold the rights to Universal. Since WB holds the film rights to all DC characters, if Universal were to move forward with Lego Movie 3, they would have to dump a bunch of characters.
