CABINET : Antec Torque white PSU : Antec HCG 750W RAM : Antec Katana 4x8GB 3600MHz CPU : Intel i9-10940X MOBO : ASRock X299 Taichi CLX VGA : Aorus Waterforce RTX2080 Super Liquid cooling by Bitspower From the eye-catching look of the Antec Torque that comes a linear and sober design that has as its main theme the famous game, Fallout. The modification procedures concern the external aspect with the use of specific fabrics with blue and yellow colors giving the connotation and main feature without weighing the view too much. The specific use in the liquid cooling compartment of material that combines blue and yellow parts in contrast, completes the work inside. Thanks to the sponsors of the project :
A new weapon of superlative quality in the hands of the protagonist of Fallout, the Katana by Antec !
Please don't take this as a criticism of your case - I've not done anything remotely similar. Why use fabric when a vinyl covering would give a smoother finish? If it was a case of protecting... well... the case, then vinyl would have given a similar solution albeit maybe a little less forgiving in placement? Apart from my little niggle, it's a wonderful looking build - particularly those water cooling bits!
I state that the custom loop is done well and the colors are well chosen too, the case is not as well done, you could have made additional panels on this fantastic case and played on it to make something really original, the fabric solution it is not optimal, I would have used acrylic paint with signs of wear, yes, because fallout is rust and wear nothing else, everything looks too new, I would have also put fewer caps, but in this case it is only my opinion and it does not have much value.
It’s simple, fabric is an aesthetic choice that definitely looks different to vinyl. Tell me, how many cases have you seen modified with vinyl and how many with fabric. The fabric is more opaque and even warmer to the touch. In part I answered your question with the answer above and in addition I add that the choice in the implementation of the project is very clear. Achieve something sober but that gives the same effect. I could have overdone as you say with additional panels or material specific to the theme as stimpak, radaway or so but the project had to be streamlined.
I think what they mean is that the fabric here isn't giving the sleek and fine finish you could've gotten with other materials and tbh I can follow their train of thought. When looking at the results I was kind of hyped and a bit disappointed all together. You've done magnificent work on designing the fabrik and having it cut and all that. Even more so with the choice for you watercooling hardware, but what kills it a bit for me is the fact that all that work starts looking unfinished and even a bit childish looking in terms of application and I think you could have applied it easier with other materials. Other than that I really like the idea behind it, I would've just done it differently
Like I said - it is a nice build but the fabric (with it's folds and lumps/bumps) would annoy me - but that's because I'm an anally retentive OCD soul(!)
