Look forward to the Crysis 3 remaster as that already looks incredible.
    Good game too.

Considering the lacklustre remaster of the first one I wouldn't expect much...

I’m not looking to replay games where a dev has made very little effort. (in reply to anfield)

Got my fingers crossed this will be worth picking up. Won’t be preordering though … just in case it’s pants.

there has been too many times when I’ve played a remaster of something and found old textures still sitting in the game. It’s like the devs go through the texture pak’s retouching/replacing the most common ones and skip the other 1,000 small or uncommonly seen ones. Can guarantee I will be sat facing the olde textures spitting feathers at the devs with their poor attempt of a cash grab.

I wonder why Warhead was excluded from the mix?

The remaster of Crysis 1 was built out of the 360 port, so no Warhead, no VTOL mission and a borked day/night cycle, amongst other things.

I get the impression Crytek is doing these for as cheap as possible.

I get the impression they know people will buy it regardless and don't really care.

I think they have since added the VTOL mission in an update.

That sounds so much like they used the antennal Russian office of Saber instead of the much better US office. The Russians and their handiwork are one of the main reasons Quake Champions is the train wreck it is. Horrible work based on a horrible engine. At least they used an okay engine as base this time.

Will we have to change our cliché too?

"But can it play Crysis Remastered?"

You can watch the DF video(s) to see that the port is... not the best, both in terms of overall quality/improvements and performance.
