Awesome, love these guys, especially this one and Valhalleluja. OK, so it's parody/comedy music, but it is very well done, much like this:

I've got an Eskimo Callboy album around here somewhere, now I'm disappointed it doesn't have this track on it.

Yeah, it wasn't an album release. Shame considering how big it has become on YouTube, both in it's own right and as a staple on the reaction channels.

Well, that's both disappointing and a relief. At least I don't have to go ferreting around trying to find it!

Then I have some good and bad news. There is an EP that has recently been remastered and rereleased called MMXX Hypa Hypa edition with the original and a load of covers / collaborations .

The urge to build a tesla coil is something I don't know that I can fend off forever.

I’d like a Van De Graaff generator. Make some REALLY BIG sparks!

I, too, have contemplated building my own lightning generator.

I, once upon a time, had a bookmark for a desktop Tesla coil kit that I wanted to buy, but I don't think I have that bookmark anymore. I'd want to make a replica of the RA2 coils, but er. Maybe I shouldn't fart around with high voltage kit.

Kinda disappointed that Sam Barros doesn't do much these days, his high voltage projects were always a hoot to see.

I work for ABB, but the company that I was taken on by was Furse (since bought out by and turned into a brand of ABB) and our primary business is lightning protection. One of the standards that we have to work to is BS EN 62561 which is the testing standard for components used as part of a lightning protection system designed to BS EN 62305. That standard has different sections for different items and 62561-1 deals with the testing of connection components like clamps, bonds, and so on, pretty much any joining component that is designed to deal with full lightning currents, and one of the tests in that is to put the clamp into an impulse generator and force 100,000 A through it using a 10/350 us waveform to replicate a direct lightning stroke split over 2 parallel paths (there should always be at least 2 conduction paths from any point in a protection system).

Unfortunately we (as Furse) don't have an impulse generator capable of that, we top out at 25 kA used for surge protection testing and design) so we have to send those parts out to an accredited testing house. Some other ABB plants do have impulse generators that can do the 100 kA, and a LOT more, and they are used for things like insulation testing of undersea cables.
