Took a nice week off for my birthday, got a new airbrush, bought some modelling bits, built a tank and am halfway through another and finally sorted out an annoying problem with the car that's been plaguing me for weeks.

That's looking awesome. I have been thinking about getting back into 1/35 vehicle building as I have recently picked up these guys from Nuts Planet in that scale and something like a Stryker vehicle would work well with them, would give me a chance to rework things into a bit more of a sci-fi Metro kind of feel. I shall be putting something stencilled in Russian on the wall, something like "Shelter 6" or something.

I don't know if this is 'awesome' or not, but today I had an on-campus induction day for the degree I'm starting. It was absolutely surreal to be in a lecture theatre on a university campus after so long, especially as this is now the fourth time in my life I've done it. I started a degree straight out of college and then dropped out to earn more money; the following year I enrolled at a different university on a different degree and I subequently failed the first year twice in a row.

It was just... surreal... to be back in that environment after so long, TONS of memories flooding back from when I moved to Swansea to study...

I was driving to and from Leicester today. Wouldn't recommend it. However, I made the rather pleasing discovery that there is actually a motorway designated 'M69'.

This amuses me entirely for immature reasons.

    Best M-Way in the country.
Quiet enough to be used properly, rarely a police car, and no cameras :thumb:

It's only about 15(ish) miles long though. It was a useful route onto the M1 when I used to cover that area of the country. I still make a point of using it when driving back up to Doncaster from the island.

True, but after you've slogged up the M5, the M42 and then the M6 (my commute) it's rather refreshing to have some non 'smart' motorway with reasonable traffic levels

I kinda like the M1, especially the closer to J26 that I get, because that means I'm about to get off the bleeding thing and am almost home...

Having come out of a bit of a lower period recently I’ve had a great few days and lots too look forward to.

    1) Nominated for a performance related bonus by colleagues , having been in a management position just over 6 months now I’ve suffered a lot with imposter syndrome. I love my job but it’s been hard to transition, only reinforces I shouldn’t worry as much as I should.

    2) Tattoo session In for the 6th and 26th of October to continue a sleeve project, much needed “pampering” been looking forward to this for a long time now having major covid delays.

    3) Some great deals on eBay, sniping boxes of camera gear at good prices. Some of it too hard to pass up

    Ultimately feeling much better.

3rd: Half gigabit broadband by Talktalk available at that address, data go nyoom

Likewise on Dude, we had a discussion about it on LAN night the other week as we had a Trans guest with us.
Same conclusion here, agreed that it was non gender specific all round

Yeah that was my fault. I kept calling her dude. Next night she read me my rights, but tbh? I think she just didn't understand I call every one that. Both my ex wives, etc. Bad? habit I picked up in the U.S. That said in all honesty I wasn't even referring to her as dude. I was just saying **** like "Dude, watch out Dave has a flying spooge gun" and stuff.

I think the overall conclusion was she is very confused. I think she needs to find herself and be at one with herself.
