Taste is subjective, but a classic design is always a classic design.

Tudor are great, build quality and engineering chops of Rolex, but without the brand tax and fancy proprietary metals which keeps the costs more in line with what is actually on your wrist, as opposed to what people are supposed to think about what's on your wrist!

Plus, they basically are Rolex in all but name. I'm so glad they have found their own identity in the past several years.

I don't think this has been posted already but has anyone tried the Watch Accuracy Meter. It works by using the microphone on your phone to detect the bpm and the rate.

I've tried it on the 2 watches I have that I know the rate and it seems very accurate with one being spot on at -4 seconds and the other 1 second out at +9 seconds although I only tested them with the dial up rather than various positions.

I don't tinker with my watches so it wouldn't lead me to try and adjust them but could give a timely indication of when a watch might need a service.

    Cool little dohickey.

Never knock the G-Shock, it's a design classic.

In other news, God bless the Swiss:

Sadly, the strap broke long before the ten-year battery ran out - and a replacement would have cost more than the watch did. Boo-urns!

Still a great looking and functional watch for the money.

I have moderately expensive Oris Watches but the closest I get to zero is with an inexpensive Ingersoll fitted with a cheap Japanese movement at 1 second the second closest is a dirt cheap Pagani Design GMT probably fitted with a $5 movement at 3 seconds :oldconfused:

Decided to get something a bit bigger and more outrageous for show, Tag Carrera GMT with the Heuer 02 GMT movement:

It's touted as a 45mm, but it wears huge even on my 20cm wrists. Compared to the 41mm Tudor Black Bay GMT, which many aficionados feel is too cumbersome:

Lol is all I can say really, I love it because it's ridiculous :hehe:

(In case you can't tell, I love a GMT complication)

    VERY Nice Shirty!
    GMT Cheesecake every time :thumb:
OTOH, I have tiny wrists, so 41 and 45mm would be overwhelming!
I have 2 GMT watches by choice, the all black GMT Master II looks like a Submariner if you're not concentrating.
Now I just need to see how to get a Sub bezel on the GMT, that really would confuse all concerned. I know the service centre will swap black to Pepsi or Coke bezels and you can keep the existing one to swap back later..at a cost

I really like it. I know it's not a "proper" watch in the eyes of a lot of watch snobs because it wasn't made single-handedly by an old Swiss man who is a direct descendant of Jehan-Jacques Blancpain, but it's a cool piece and provokes conversation if nothing else!

    Plus I'm a huge motorsports fan :)

I'm a big built man, dainty little dress watches look funny on me :hehe:

I was considering a 48mm Super Avenger, but even I have limits!

    48mm basically a kids watch

Musk MR 2129 - go big or go home
    And a U-Boat 1942 for when you’re feeling subtle
