Holy crap don't enable rage mode on a 6000 series AMD GPU.

It literally stunk like burning dust in here. Turns out it absolutely shoves it full of volts and still only clocks to 2470 without manual OC. And eats 297w for the privelige of making your entire ALU case as hot AF.

At least it's semi-contained: a few years back we had something similar here, except it was "flush toilet upstairs, comes out in the cellar."

Recently having a "fill bath, comes out in dining room ceiling cavity" incident, I can't rate containment of water highly enough.

Downstairs "Saniflo" loo now fails to saniflo. Hopefully, it's just the fuse.

Kind of a busy week, lots to be done so it’s pretty stressful at the moment. Thursday is the big day of meetings after which it should be plain sailing. Friday is my 30th and a shorter day so maybe I’ll crack opener a beer in the expected 27c heat if all goes well

    Also, watching England play…

This must be how it feels to support Man Utd …

Man Utd were, at one point, not totally ****.

The England team have always been ****, barring that one time they got lucky.

Watching England is like watching Newcastle, they're always been crap but the fans deludedly think they're the best team ever.

I've seen them four times over the past few seasons (pre covids)

Draw with Liverpool, win against Arsenal and two wins against Man City.

Maybe they should pay me to go

Mind you now they have money from the currently 'nice' 'friendly' Dictatorship things will be different.

@DeadP1xels I haven't watched any of the Nation's League matches thankfully. I mean I'm still not taken by the whole thing and I wasn't expecting much from an end of season tournament just before an out of sync world cup.

Last time I watched Man Utd play IRL, Bobby Charlton & George Best were playing!

Wills. More importantly people who contest them. My grandad died and left everything to my gran. His sister who he hasn’t seen in years and years, is contesting it demanding everything go to her..

    Gold digger through and through.

We had the same with a great uncle of mine. He wanted to cut his adopted son out of the will entirely, but he knew that he would contest it so he skipped that entire generation. Of course that did mean that my dad ("the son I never had") did miss out, but the son did contest it anyway. However, by skipping that whole generation, unless the 6 beneficiaries voted yes to allowing him to be an additional one, he couldn't go through with it. His 2 sons voted yes, but myself, my sister and our two cousins all voted no.

Nobody on this side of the family has heard from him since, which is not entirely a bad thing. Nothing actively nasty or anything about breaking contact, just nothing, nice and quiet.

This is why I’m dying poor. Nothing to leave anyone so no long distant cousin I’ve never heard of coming out of the woodwork, cap in hand and a sob story to tell.

Well that, and I’ll hand everything over to my partner and kids before I have to pay that pesky inheritance tax.
