All that concern you caused us and yet, that "." never did anything to you?

    I feel badly let down...

Currently going through a period of actually being motivated to engage in my hobbies, especially my model painting, but the heat is meaning that I can't do anything. Even using drying retarder and a wet palette, the pain is seemingly drying on my brush before I can do anything with it. I try to take advantage of every "phase" of motivation that comes along as much as I can, as I never know how long it will last before I go through another period of "meh, what's the point? Had enough, going to sell it all, never get anything finished." but at the moment, it really sucks to have the motivation, only to be prevented by weather conditions that I hate enough as it is.

    That sounds poetically sad

I know what you mean though, my motivation needs to be jumped on as soon as I see a glimpse of it otherwise I have a horrible habit of thinking. Or getting distracted by something shiny.

Hehe, yay for typos. I'm not even going to correct that one.

One benefit of these phases is that I have speeded up my painting to try and get a project finished before I lose the urge to carry on with it. I can get a decent model cranked out in about 2/3 the time it used to take.

31°C in the office right now. I've had the blind down and the window closed all day, 'cos *outside* it's 33.3°C...

    EDIT:
Switched the desktop to the powersave governor and switched the monitor into Eco mode, turned off all lights except the 5W desk lamp... 31.3°C and rising...

There is a warning for tomorrow to only leave your house if you absolutely must. Obviously, I will travel to Zagreb tomorrow. Can't wait for my train ride to the airport and standing around at security in 38°C...

    Thanks, boss.

More heat moaning incoming. It is currently 34.5 degrees in the office where I am right now. The windows are open in an effort to catch any of the passing breeze, not that it is doing much at all. I have a fan...

We have all given up on even mentioning AC for this place as the last time we did, the official and final answer from the site manager was that we can't have it due to the risk that "someone might complain that they are cold"... So much for working at a international company that posted a 2021 profit of around US$ 4.65 billion...

The heat i can live with...

...the fact one of the people i share this flat with is a selfish **** who can't go more than 10 minutes without skanking up the place with a cigarette...

    ...that's doing me in.

    Coming from Bognor to Barnham.

In Bognor it was 26 with a lovely sea breeze. In Barnham it is 32 with no breeze.

Thankfully the old duck (my mum) had left all of the curtains closed so it's cucumber in her house. She's gone away, I am on watering duty. It is more than my life is worth to forget.

But aye, coming over in the taxi you could literally feel it getting hotter. And the cool breeze changed to a literal blast of hot air one.

4 fewer rats under the decking, but we seem to be left with a clever one who's worked out how to beat traps.

Any chance we can skip tomorrow and go straight to the 20 degree of Wednesday?

I remember the suffering in those first couple of summers after moving to Sydney. So glad I'm more used to it now as our current house is like a greenhouse without glass.
