I can't even train myself around the lack of proper Home, End, PgUp, and PgDown keys, so I'd be useless with one of those fancy wobbly boards...

 

Just got the last piece I need for my new desk, a 1.6m x 0.8m x 20mm bamboo top from Flexispot.
It's a replacement top for a standing desk that I have no intention of buying. This will be bridging across a pair of Ikea Alex drawer units that I already have.
I even found an 8% discount code to knock £20-ish off!

Ah SVS, my favourite purveyor of weapons-grade bass, excellent choice.

 

I thought about getting the C2, but it was 50% more than the C1 I got. Same size panel, mind.

 

Last one lasted 2 years, hell it's still going but the charging port is getting a little loose, so like for like* replacement



I did try their Morph2 mod for a month or 2, but it's crap so went back to the Rigel

 

I'm sorely tempted to pick the 42" one up for my office but when doing the boring stuff, I have a lot of static screens and text so burn in and the quality of text due to sub pixel arrangement are a concern, my C9 in the front room is lovely for media, OLEDs are great, if they could go brighter nothing would touch them.

 

Snap, its a fantastic TV!!!

 

Half the weight, upto 70% higher brightness, better upscaling, the list goes on. Its a massively better TV!

Much nicer than my focus that was rusting to bits, and something falling off it every month

Whenever I see people use cordless ones, they always seem to be having a bad time and swapping batteries loads...

 

It depends on what you're doing, I have the cordless DeWalt and with a 5Ah battery it will cut or grind a fair bit of steel, even cutting 5mm box section I'd expect it to do a respectable chunk on one battery. If you're cutting / grinding concrete or stone, forget about it, the battery will drain like a tub.

Also my corded grinders are all ~700W so the cordless feels similar, compared to a 1kW+ grinder a cordless will feel slower.

Saying that, with a bit of bicycle theft the cordless grinder can pay for itself in an evening.

 

It's better, true. Massively, though? Not sure and honestly, I'm happy with my C1. I was happy with my old TV, 9 years old, so the step to the C1 was massive already. And will likely keep me happy for 5+ years.

 

Massively would be overstretching looking at the techspot review that compared them this week.

I think "massively better" is over stretching it in terms of any relatively high end TV from the last 5 years - I think we're at a plateau of barely-there improvements until a new screen tech becomes mass-marketable. I'm looking at you, micro led.

 

...at which point I'll be happy to take your current one off your hands when you inevitably upgrade
