Small victories. Today I needed a 15 year old paper document that 2007 me didn't think I'd ever need again, and 2022 me wasn't sure I actually kept, and would absolutely be a costly and months-long process to replace. I picked a random file from several out of the cupboard, and opened it to a random location, and it was right there. First try.

Might be time for you to go to the paper shop and pick out a scratchcard!

We’ve been looking at detached houses because our front room shares a solid wall with the neighbours, however, after speaking to them I’ve just found out their basically deaf so all is good!

My mother-in-law is deaf. She's so noisy, it beggars belief.

We're looking at detached house next as we too share a solid wall with the neighbours.

But then they're shouty, noisy, sweary numbnuts. Except when they're talking to people on the street then they're all giggles and 'nice' and the most doting of parents.

Oh we don’t hear a peep from them, I was more concerned about disturbing them with our surround sound system, which isn’t a issue I guess.

That does sound like a punchline to a joke.

She can't hear kitchen cupboard doors slam shut, or the sound of saucepans crashing down on the gas hob, so she hasn't developed a lighter touch; to ANYTHING.

Before my gran went into the home she'd think any mention of her hearing getting worse was ridiculous.

All the while your eyeballs would be getting pushed to the back of your skull due to the volume on the TV.

Got the Landy back together, fixed the comedic non-starting issue I'd introduced, and now I've got a running engine with healthy oil pressure. Phew!

OK this thing is pretty forking handy already....

Sure, I can bind macros/shortcuts/etc to keys or key combos, and I can even have a secondary macro keypad if I wanted... But this is a macro pad with LCDs for each key* and really easy to use software. Having a visual reminder makes it so much easier to see at a glance than trying to remember the shortcut I've bound to each key... And I haven't even delved into app-specific functions or even streaming stuff yet.

*OK, I know, it's really just one big screen, but the effect is damn good.

Watched Prey. This is what little me wanted to see while being the "Indian" for "Cowboys and Indians" and getting the **** kicked out of me. Representation is important, y'all.

Amazing movie. Will watch it again.

Learning that my chosen colour for my next car is one of the "free" colours, saving me around £550.

The only other colour MG offer on this car that interested me was bright orange, but that's a £695 option and I think it would date rather quickly.

I think orange needs the right car to have appeal over time, and I don't think that's the right car. Definitely the right call on that blue IMO.

McLaren have a very nice burnt orange. I was passed by a 720S press car while I was walking the dog down the lanes here, around the time it was launched. Looked really nice in that colour.

Looks like MG are doing paint options right.
3 trim levels for the car to pick what cabin toys you want, the only optional item is colour.

White or blue - Solid colour (free)
Black or grey - Metallic colour (£545)
    Red or orange - "Tri-coat" colour* (£695)

    * - extra shiny?

EDIT - Orange is only available on the top level trim, meaning that MG have 16 possible variations for the car. They usually make equal numbers of each, and match them to customers after building, unlike other manufacturers.

Basecoat-color cost-clearcoat. Grew up in a body shop.
