Velux Venetian blind to swap out the blackout blind in the loft.

Fully open and the sun can be blinding and hit my monitor, fully closed and in the autumn/winter can cause condensation issues.

Angling the light up while still allowing air circulation should do the trick plus it'll stop it feeling like a dungeon at the top of the house.

Are we likely to be seeing the older one For Sale soon...?

Nope, it was only a 3a XL, and the floor did a right number on it

Ah, understood. I did pick up a second hand one for the small person from the "auction site" but it has some proper screen burn so I'm undecided on sending it back. Wondering whether to put up a Wanted thread and see what surfaces...:geek:

Glad you got that it was the older phone I was enquiring about for sale though, not the older child. I have enough of those.

The missus is eyeing one of these up on Amazon Renewed at the moment. How did you get on with it?

A set of hose grip pliers, I cannot tell you how easy these make it to, er, grip hoses. I had one hard up against a pipe that meant I couldn't get my hand round it and these just whipped it off in seconds. Totally worth it.

Moving my pc desk around in the loft so just a couple of little buys as it's further away from the plug socket and homeplug.

So a 3m extension and a couple of 4.6m (cheaper than 3m) Ethernet cables.

Oh and I managed to snag a 5700X at a decent price for the final CPU upgrade on my mobo.

Just have to find a decent price GPU next.

Its been great so far. Oxygen os takes a little to getting used to the look of it but the performance is outstanding.

I was looking at the S22 Plus/Ultra but managed to bag a deal on this sim free and am not disappointed.

Ah, sorry bud - I meant the S10 actually! We're a bit behind the curve at this end (because most of the phones here end up dropped, soaked or otherwise abused so no point buying new).

Up and running great after fighting the LAN settings for an hour or so (I didn't want it to change my file server's address and then have to remap everything else to it).
Bonus item - I discovered that the cable from the Sky router to the rest of the network was mangled, so after replacing it, Ookla reported a rise from 110mb/s to 150-170! :D

Ah got you. The S10 has been a good phone apart from the usb port and the constant moisture detected warning. This seems to be a common problem with the S10 and never found a way to disable it even though there has been any moisture (there's a marker in the simtray to check). Wireless charging was a god send and I actually prefer it now. Also the camera is quite slow in taking pictures I found but then I'm not an avid photo taker, just really notice the difference with the OnePlus now.

Getting a bit ahead of myself for this thread but... I've had an offer accepted on a house.
