I started taking allopurinol last week to lower uric acid levels and prevent gout flare ups, and the doc recommended I take colchicine for a short period of time to treat gout, because dropping uric acid levels can trigger an attack.

One of them is really messing with me, and I can't stand it much longer. I'm on the toilet three or four times a day and it's giving me really bad stomach cramps. On top of general nausea, dizziness, headaches, lethargy... I've taken the last two days off sick, yesterday I went back to bed about 10am and didn't get up properly until 4pm - I never sleep like that, not even when we had COVID-19.

The colchicine prescription was only for a week, so after tomorrow I'll be done with it. But I'm on allopurinol indefinitely, so I really hope that one isn't messing with me.

 

Try taking some buscopan to help with cramps.

(I'm not one of those "tell the internet before doing a damn thing" people, I was on the phone to NHS 111 for half an hour and I'm waiting for a call back from a clinician now - if I really do need emergency 999 treatment then they can sort it out with me)

Apparently I live with an animal, older guy who lives in the room across the hallway. Every time I pop in the loo there's wee all over the seat. I've caught him leaving the loo few times and there's been wee on the seat after him. Being transfem with severe downstairs dysphoria, I sit down regardless of the case of 1, 2 or both. Except now I have to spend time in there cleaning up after him. He started weeing all over it couple days after I stopped wearing trousers and rolled on with skirts.

That is not how humans mark their territory. That's not what humans do. At least clean up after yourself you disgusting piece of filth. And get yourself checked up. What you do is not normal.

I also ain't pooping like my life depended on it. Doc recommended what I was already doing: stop taking the colchicine, get rest, drink lots of fluid.

I'm betting it's not a nice flat sheet of carbon fibre anymore ?

I know nothing of carbon fibre, is there any way to undo the damage?
