    Step two of upgrading my workstation is complete. If I wanted to play a game, I could make a RAMdrive and install it and have enough to play it easily. (I may have to test that theory.) Due to someone apparently being told "just get rid of it," I got 256GB of PC3-14900 ECC for$120, which was less than 128 at the prevailing rate. Best believe I jumped on that.

    UE5 takes an awful lot of memory, so I figure this will get me some breathing room. Might could even open a few tabs in Chrome.

    Also, free mechanical keyboard.

    My laptop has randomly decided it wants to work with my wireless printer… I’ve tried many times before to get this working flawlessly over WIFI and suddenly it does!!

    I usually spend absolutely ages faffing on my phone to organise shipping and collection, this will save me so much time going through eBay over the app.

    Despite having had, effectively, the entire dormer at the old house re-done, there's a leak - showing as a wet patch on the new plaster. Guessing that means we're going to have to have the (pretty massive) window replaced, as the guy we had to look at the problem originally drilled some "drainage holes" that come out inside where the frame is sealed to the sill(!) and there ain't much coming back from that.

    Why is this in the "awesome" thread? Well, I'm trying to look on the bright side these days - and if we do have the window replaced we'll have a nice shiny FENSA certificate to wave at the buyer. Better still, I did my first meter reading since September and it turns out my energy company's estimates are well off: Today, on the 23rd of November, I've used about 6kWh less gas and 270kWh less electricity than they thought I'd used by the 22nd of October. Should mean my next payment not only wipes out the debit I'd built up but puts me a hunnert or so in credit.

    You can upload to your user gallery here then paste the bbcode, but your ymv as to whether that's easier or more convenient than just using imgur or something.

    Yeah if you head into Media, you can upload to your own albums and then when writing your post you can embed from your media, or copy the bbcode and link it directly. Alternatively, use imgur as wolfticket said.

    Go up to the top of the board and click on Media, then Add Media:

    I normally drop my uploads into an album of general stuff, you can create that here:

    Then upload your image using the normal web upload window bits:

    [​IMG]

    Once uploaded and saved, you'll see the image(s) that you uploaded:

    [​IMG]

    Select the image and look to the right, just copy and past this option into your post and post like normal:

    [​IMG]

    There may be faster and easier options, but this has always worked for me.
