Go to your friendly neighbourhood Aston Martin dealer and, then tell them you want your new car painted "620nm, 450nm, 500nm", you're going to get a very strange look...

I really wanted a cordless Jigsaw where the bit doesn’t keep falling out, and if you purchased the Jigsaw alone it was £150 so for £50 more you basically get a cordless drill and another battery on top! I was looking at other brands and some wanted £150 just for a standalone battery charger! Then £70 for the battery then you’d have to purchase all the tools! Screw that.

Vanguard do a few tripods and after much time spent watching and reading reviews and vlogs of photographers using them, I found a Veo3Go 265HCB on ebay I could use a 10% off code on. It is nearly as tall as I am at 6' 3" and is pretty light. I've never had a tripod quite like this, there is such a difference in just how it keeps absolutely stock still. Very impressed.

I'm sure they would if you could be so specific, I'm also sure it'd be reassuringly expensive. :D

Porsche also do the same thing, it's about £10k for a 911, but you have to pre-pay and if they can't make it work you don't get a refund.

Even more - it's close to £10k for a "catalogue" PTS colour - the ones that they don't currently offer in the standard range but have at some point in history. Its nearly the same again if you want something entirely unique. Possibly more if you want some unusual/exotic finishes/effects.

    Reassuring indeed.

On it literally right now. Got some more pears coming later :D

Me? I was totally jonesing some real root beer. There is one decent one you can get here, but it is loaded with sugar. So, I paid out the ass for this. £14 for 12. Ah well.

It only needs one thing with it to make it perfect.

I also needed new baking trays. I use them every single day at home, and the coating peels. So I thought I would try these. Got 3.

Agreed. Had a nice grin when he showed it to me. I know exactly where I'm hanging it too. The 917 in the Gulf colours looks utterly superb . The Lotus sitting off centre looks great too.

PowerA wireless arcade stick for Nintendo Switch:

Seemed like a good deal at £25.95 (details over in the "gaming bargains" thread). I'm assuming that the "wireless" in this case is indeed Bluetooth, given that it's pretty trivial to connect Nintendo Switch controllers to PC via Bluetooth. Also supports wired operation via Type-C. Worth a punt at that price; if it works out well it'll make an excellent arcade stick for my MiSTer FPGA console. I already use a PS3 controller, 8bitdo Sega Saturn/MegaDrive controller (M30), and an 8bitdo SNES controller (SF30 Pro) - all via bluetooth.

Switches are probably naff for that price, but I can't imagine it'd be terribly difficult to swap them out for Sanwa, Seimitsu, or similar.

    Payday splurge!
    DeWalt DCF887P2 - Impact Driver with 2 5ah batteries.
Going to be doing a lot of building of things, in particular building a partition wall in the front bedroom, along with built in wardrobes, desks and shelves and etc. My drill driver struggled a little at times when I was doing the shed last year, using the clutch as a pseudo impact function probably not the best thing for it, so got a proper job with 2 chonking batteries, so along with the two 2ah batteries I've already got, drill, driver and saw can be powered with a backup ready for when one runs out. Or if I buy more. lol. "If" :hehe:

Going to be starting to sort the garden out this weekend after we had most of the building leftovers cleared the other week. Fences and shed are in desperate need of doing and I sure as smeg ain't up to doing ~20 fence panels and an 8*12 shed, saw this little beauty on offer at Screwfix when paint browsing

Also 3 buckets of ronseal fence life plus in sage and one in medium oak.

Thought I might as well get a proper comfortron butt-pad for commuting. Doesn't look as comically wide in the flesh.

Sks Veloflexx 65 mudguards for crud protection on the commute also

Retiring my 15year old bottle opener for one of these carabiner jobs

Actually rather nice. Has a good form spring.

Also 3 pairs of short in fat man size, 3 completely different ones to see which I like best before ordering any more, and some black rubber doorstops.

Likely to be purchased over the weekend: locks to sort the entry gate out so can be opened from the from and not that bolted and padlocked from the rear, plus fixings for that and a barricade for the shed.
