The built-in Modem is probably made by Sierra Wireless and it's probably based on the SB300 chipset. If I remember it uses CDPD. I could be wrong...

Yeah take your time... painting can take days to complete... and the key is thin thin coats.
Why not use some standard 2 pin lead connectors... like the kind you use to connect LED's to your motherboard?
