Im looking to upgrade my system from the specs below to something that is capable of playing FEAR at 1680 x 1050 at decent frame rates and image quality settings. Money is not too much of an issue, though i would much prefer a bargain. I am fine with overclocking if that makes any sort of difference to any recommendations.
I was looking at the preview for the x1950xtx and that looks to be quite a promising card. Any suggestions?
    NB
It doesnt have to be just one card, if there are benefits to having 2 cards in crossfire or sli then please add that in.
My processor is being upgraded to either a core2duo 6400 or 6600 i havent quite decided yet.
    Cheers guys

My E6600 with 2 1900XT's in crossfire gives me full quality at that resolution, without knowing for sure i'd bet a 1950XTX would manage it for less money.

Some games aren't able to run at full quality with my two cards though, such as Oblivion and NFS:MW

My machine (@2.6ghz with stock gfx speeds) plays it at the same resolution and the higest quality settings ok, so anything above that would be ideal. Like you've said, core2duo 6400 or 6600 and a x1950xtx then just add 2gig of good quality ram.

Looks like the Oringal poster will need to almsot buy a whole new pc to play FEAR at that res. He'll need a new mother board CPU and RAM before he can a X1950XT, Becuase your only stuck with an AGP mobo and you'll need a PCI express board with CPU and ram sticks that fit.
