They have places that store people in the UK? That's sad. How long do UK people usually have to stay in storage? ROFL at visual of Mister_Tad hung on a rack like at the cleaners. Next? Number please. No starch. Crack me up sorry but it's funny

Sometimes, I come home from work and search for your posts just cause I know there will be something like that to make me laugh. That was awesome.

I'm going to get them to freeze me and then wake me up when we can all go live with the Ewoks on Endor, and I can be their king. But don't tell anyone.

I kinda look like an ewok, if an ewok was on the far side of six feet tall...

Scifi book "heads" can't remember the author but they could only freeze the heads so the kept them in Antarctica. Works for me. Only part still reasonably active. But I can't go, never seen an anorexic looking white furred Ewok. I'll wave bye though.

You have access to a CNC machine and the skills to use it? Most of us would give our right arm for that. No shame in that job.

Actually, being the oldest member or REALLY near the top, I have to agree with this. I've had jobs from ice cream route vendor to CEO of my own company to almost anything in between. What matters is that you do well at whatever it is that you are doing at the time. We have all had no jobs or been under employed or unemployed by circumstances at one time or another, Just be good at what you are doing and look at it as a positive referral about you and your work ethic to the next job interview.
Q: was that a rant? didn't mean it to be!

29/ M / think my current job title is Technical Liquid Analyst, though it's been six months and I'm still waiting for a job discription to tell me what liquid and how I technically analyse it.

You worked for IBM? I did an assessment day with them following graduating from my masters. Scared the **** out of me! They asked me back for the second round but I was just like "no thanks, I'd like to keep my soul, life, friends, interests and time mine thanks".

Awww, but only the head means you won't be wearing those snazzy Sponge Bob jammies! Well, unless you put them on your head.

Haha! Yeah, when they came in to take over our dept. there was a joke about becoming Borg... then it turned out to not really be a joke :worried: I don't think I'd want to work for such a massive organization again. There are benefits, but for me they were outweighed by the negatives (e.g. getting annual reports from people who may have said hello to me once in 2 years wasn't ideal, and certainly did not reflect how hard I was working). I'd much rather work in a smaller team. Or preferably on my own in a dark basement with just computers for company... :geek: Truth be told I want to be Richmond from the IT Crowd.
