    Hi all.

Just been OCing my second comp and I now have the FSB up to 157/31 with a multi of 12 at 1.6v. This causes the ram to run at 314mhz which, when it's PC2100 Hynix CL2.5 is a bit high... Anyway I get this message in big red writing in the Bios of my A7V8X when I highlight the FSB option.
    It says:

Caution: According to CPU external frequency setting, system memory can only operate at frequency higher than or equal to 333 Mhz, please make sure the Dram maximun [d'oh!] frequency is not less than 333Mhz

What I would like to know is:
Is it ok [ish] to run the ram this fast?
How far does PC2100 usually OC to? [obviously it varies...]
Is my ram going to die a horrible fiery death?

The ram is running at 2.85v and there are two dimms of PC2100 256mb Hynix CL2.5. I haven't had any memory problems in any programs so far...

    System specs:
    1800xp T-Bred b @1.8ghz 157/31 X12 @1.6v
    Asus A7V8X 1013 Bios
    2x 256mb PC2100 Hynix Cl2.5 @314Mhz @2.85v
    Leadtech GFTI 4200 @303/610
    12680 3D01 onions

    Thanks for any help :)

Is it easy to Fook up ram? It's now at 2.65v instead of 2.85v as stated above and is still stable...

    Thanks for the help :)

I havent mucked up any of my ram, and its been running at 2.9v fine! Will probably reduce the life of the ram, but it was cheap :)

Don't worry about that, it's warning you that youve reached a speed higher than the rated 2100 speed. I had to read it a few times when i clocked my FSB's too... :D
