If it would have been marginal a 5 second penalty would have been fine.. but that certainly wasn't on the same planet as marginal, 10 sec stop & go would have been more appropriate.
To be fair, this is probably the first time a 5s penalty has had a tangible effect - Max almost won the race, but still finished 4th because of the nature of Monaco.
God I wish Verstappen would go away now, such a try hard, the pit lane thing wasn't his fault but that failed overtake was ridiculous.
End of Deadpool 2 + early in Stir Crazy - "Is that a pair of pliers on my d**k...?" Ooops - only just seen it was a video clip, not a still.
I'm betting he'll go back to Red Bull to replace Gasly leaving the door for Hamilton to Ferrari. I would of said then Riccardo or Hulkenberg partnering Ocon but Bottas is still looking phenomenal this season. All UK employees should be sent on Bottas' winter recovery program. Think of what we could achieve with that level of productivity everywhere! It's more his moaning when something doesn't go his way. It's getting to the point of being as absurd as Grosjean blaming Ericsson. Speaking of Grosjean...time for a replacement? He is starting to look like he's just making up the numbers. Giovinazzi is also looking particularly strong.
So there's Ferrari's best finish this season. The unsafe release should have come with a hefty fine. That was VERY unsafe, AND it cost Bottas a second place. Max diving into Lewis and then shouting "he just turned into me, i was overtaking" made me think what the hell was he expecting, Lewis just going "yeah, go on mate... have it... - that was never going to happen. But, I'd agree with the Stewards there. Perez almost hitting two marshalls was a bit scary.
Anyone else on fantasy racers this season? I am somehow 27th overall after my team got the 2nd highest points haul at Monaco! C. Sainz McLaren 158 D. Kvyat Toro Rosso 143 K. Raikkonen Alfa Romeo Racing 88 L. Hamilton Mercedes 328 L. Norris McLaren 106
https://www.planetf1.com/f1-races/canadian-grand-prix/marko-indirectly-blames-gasly-for-maxs-kiss/ I said before that I felt sorry for Gasly because RB were plainly uninterested in helping him, or anyone else not called Max Verstappen, but this is veering into the realms of parody. "We're all very disappointed in you Pierre, letting Max crash behind you like that,"
