That tune sounds like most mainstream hip-hop to me. Doesn't really sound as amazing and unique as you might think. You're making it out like it's something forward-thinking and progressive like cLOUDDEAD or Dälek but it honestly just sounds like a cliched Eminem track sans the annoying attitude.

    Just my two pence.

im currently listening to Metallica : S&M album. i havent really listened to Metallica before but oh my is this album good. The contrast between the hard rock sound and the Symphony orchestra is beautiful fusion of both genres.

I love "Enter sandman" and "For whoom the bell tolls"

    June (as I missed out):
One Self - Children of Possibility
    Zion I - Break A Dawn

    July:
Cut Chemist - The Audience's Listening

    Looking forward to:
Eagerly awaiting the new Roots (liking the first single) and DJ Shadow albums.

As much as I'd like to recommend Jurassic 5's new Feedback for July, I'm distinctly unimpressed. It might be a grower in time, but that's what disappoints me most. The previous efforts, more so the first two, were wham right outta the box.
Going by my recommendation and what didn't make the cut, looks like the Chemist took something with him on his departure. Shame.

And finally; while you're talking of summer tunes, check out Bluebird from the One Self album mentioned above.

Any good? Have their previous album, and saw them live a few years back.

I know I had Dashboard Confessional as my choice for July, however...

    Just got:

A Hundred Highways: American V by Johnny Cash

    A truely heartbreaking album :(

Thanks to your recommendation I've just ordered this- couldn't stop playing Rough Gem on youtube, which is really an immense track! If you fancy something a bit heavier but still with the abnormal Arcade Fire/Islands instrument combinations, I saw 'Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies' support iForward Russia! the other night and they were very impressive- will be getting their album soon as well :thumb:.

Awwww you guys are teh best, i was away for the day but i was thinking about udating this thread.

    Anyways!!! on to your recomendations!
This past month ive been listining to soo much stuff but the album i keep going back to is Metallica - S&M.

Simply because it keeps mu anger in check and it brings my emotions to it's knees. A simply stunning mixture of metal and symphony is almost god-like.
