After reading through all the other threads on LCD monitors none give results I'd really like... I'm looking for a 19" minimum, $200 maximum, good contrast/brightness/response time, with no speakers, preferably non-widescreen, that is sold either from common retailers or online at newegg.com

I've gotten some ideas for a few, but does anyone know if these really are any good (I don't trust customer reviews too well)

    Chimei brand

    Acer brand

    Sceptre brand

Are any of these any good? Are there better ones for around the same price? Thanks in advance :)

Acer are a fiarly large brand name, not even heard of the other 2.

If u can stretch it it's always best to go with a well known and trusted make of monitor.

chimei is a large brand as well, good products but most of their stuff ends up rebranded outside of china though. might have some trouble getting customer service/warranty on it

How flexible is your Max price? I just bought my Samsung 931 for $250CAN and love it
