    i need a modular PSU on my ITX build... but my Corsair TX650 has been soooooo good I can't let go.

    I want to know why all PSU manufacturers still seem to insist on putting far too much cable between SATA plugs? I've not had a single case yet where the hard drives were not positioned one above the other vertically, with about ~30mm? between them.

    To give you 20+4 for those (as if) still on a 20 pin design.

    I can't see it split, though. It looks solid to me. The EPS splits into 4+4, but that's normal.

    If you're referring to the 'Cable Information' table in the article, it's because the left side (where it's split) is where it connects to the PSU.

    But why is it split? The 2 connectors are alongside each other as if they're one anyway!
