Wow that does suck. I feel your pain, I spent a good while the other day painting my front door only to have an idiot pizza delivery place leave a flyer up against the bottom of the door, so it stuck to it, taking some paint with it. GRRRR indeed.

Thanks for commenting, the "scratch turns out to be more like paint rub from the nose cone with a very slight scratch which should indeed polish out :worried:

Yea its just car-window tint, however I tried to apply it to my perspex and it looked naff to be fair, I didn't take any pictures but it just looked like dull silver paper behind some perspex (even though thats pretty much what it is lol). Im going to get some dark black tint and try again!

Anyway, got the perspex windows fitted with some trusty 3M tape!

Stuartwood89 of this forum gracefully modeling the perspex :D

    ...

    all ready to go!

    I want one!

Test run on a piece of paper :naughty:

Do not look directly at the laser beam!

Using wood to rest the perspex on left a yellow scorch residue but this shouldn't be a problem to clean off with some white spirit.

    looking good!

Everything lined up perfectly :D Which I was very happy about! It will actually sit flush with the front of the case once I mount my fan controller further back.

Encase you wondered what the extra circles were for in the design, I was going to glue pairs of them together to make some replacement perspex knobs for my Kama meter. However I think I prefer the look of the standard knobs now that they aren't so protrusive.

The next step is to use the laser cutter to etch "RYE" at the top, I couldn't do it today as it uses a custom font and I don't think Times New Roman would have quite the same effect :hehe:

Looking sexy Ryan, and your perspex too. I'll be able to finally compete with you cause I just found a potentially excellent source for tinted acrylic.

    Nearly done, keep going!

    Hi!

I was planning to apply some window tint film to the piece of perspex up front but instead I just decided to buy a piece of pre-tinted perspex to save the hassle basically :D

I again took the sheet or perspex into school and had the same design laser cut and with the tinted perspex it looks so much better, but your going to have to take my word for it as I don't have my camera to hand and my phone camera just doesn't do it justice!

The fan controller looks sooo good behind the perspex and the CD slot is hardly visible so it looks awesome when I eject a disc and it "comes from nowhere"

A shot with a torch inside the case making it very transparent.

Thats all for now im afraid! It's almost there now and ive ordered another vandal resistant switch so its just a bit of soldering and cable sleeving to do now!

I promise you some better pics soon!

I'll be getting a bigger piece of acrylic for my side panel and front as well. Glad it looks good on yours. I was beginning to get worried.

    Excellent photoshopping there Ryan!

I thought you weren't going to extend the chassis.

yea! A longer chassis will allow me to fit a large PSU if need be and will help with fitting in this watercooling as well.

Yea, turns out they sent it to a house 2 miles away and a lady drove all the way to mine and gave me the parcel today which was really nice of her. She said the only similarity in our addresses was the house number!! lol

Nahh, he'll do it. He's pretty good at cramming things into small spaces.

    ;) :D ;)

Today I cut the case in half. Seriously. It looks a mess at the moment but by the end of tomorrow im aiming for it to be ready to be painted and the watercooling system should be in there by Tuesday, well thats the plan anyway.

The DD block didn't come with a back plate for the back of the motherboard.. :wallbash: The one thats already on there will be fine though. No pics today im afraid

Aren't the DD blocks usually just bolt through anyway? If you want to use a backplate a stock one should work fine.
