Well, I got my parts in finally, got everything together for a test run. Everything seems to be working as planned. Had a slight glitch with the res. The flow of the pump was causing whirlpool/bubbles, had to fill it more than planned. The water level is just below the cap with about 3/4" left for air. Next on the agenda is making plexi enclosure so the system will be external. Will post more pics as that happens.
The vodka bottle is meant to be used to forget ur mistakes? Anyway, looks good m8, althought i'd build the water-cooling system inside the case [edit] oooops, I just noticed it was a test run...[/edit]
I like your external idea...I'm tempted to do that myself now!! Vodka bottle, I take it you did that yourself? How did you cut the holes?
just a few questions: what did u used to make water UV-reactive? how did u make the holes in the bottle? Is it glass, right? where's ur front bezel?
UV dye is from an autoparts store, its Flourescent Leak Detector for Cooling systems. Here's a link for 2x 1oz bottles, I only used a few drops: http://www.partsamerica.com/SelectP...rcePage=SEARCHPARTNUMBER&MfrPartNumber=LDCS2P To make the holes in the glass I used these: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=40547 And my bezel and panels are off right now, as I'm busy on the insides: Worklog thread is here.
