I've had mine for a day now and not had any problems with 3G. I'm on T-mobile UK.

    Official UK Vodafone?

You can buy one today from www.google.com/phones, it will come with a USA charger and you'll get busted at Customs for VAT & Import duty.

You can buy one now... http://www.google.com/phone/
Assuming that the OTA update works as planned, I don't think this is much more than an embarrassing hiccup. I do wonder how they managed to release it like this though - and will it be an Android problem or a Nexus One problem?

    edit: err too slow :D

Did you have to pay extra due to Customs (VAT & Import duty)? if so how much?

Sounds similar to the issue on the release of the G1, although that just dropped your call and connection every couple of minutes.

Still, once it was sorted the G1 rocked, and still does. Lovin' it!

I love my nexus one just on ATT EDGE (i have a contract with them *grumbles*) once you install the dolphin browser its real fast, certainly fast enough for me to browse bit tech forums, search google and do email in real time.

Its a nexus problem or tmobile problem, I am running an Acer Android which has similar specs and its flawless though it does run 1.6 not 2.1 like the Nexus.

well HTC does have its own phones. Wonder how the Nexus One stacks up against HTC's other offerings.
Would be better if Google could get an independent manufacturer to make them though.

I also have had A Nexsus One for a couple of days, its a lovely phone indeed.
Using it on O2 with no problems whatsoever. Had to set up the sms and data services manually as expected, but easy
enough to find the info on the O2 forums.

Only complaint is its a little bit fingerprint-y

    Other than that, peachy

Not correct, It comes with a UK mains adaptor and a usb cable that can also charge the phone.

Import duty may apply, I'm still waiting to see if i get hit. It's usually a bill that arrives a few days later.

If you root, you can use apps2sd, or you can wait for Google to release their update to allow that (they said they were going to allow it when they announced the N1).

Vodafone will be the primary UK carrier when they launch the phone in Q1 some time. Other operators might sign up though, it's not an exclusive.
