    Hello everyone

Long time and no posts been out of any PC scene for a very long time now just getting back into it and it’s changed a lot!!

Anyway on to the project no name as yet

    The case in question is.....

    Streacom F12C
    https://streacom.com/products/f12c-chassis/

An extremely small case to fit a ATX motherboard and perfectly fits into my cabinet too, I managed to get it cheaply from quietpc from the B grade section but was basically brand new costing £165

I also picked up some second hand pc parts off eBay as I’m starting from scratch I didn’t really have the cash to by new generation part so I forked out £225 and got...

    I7 3820
    Gigabyte ga-x79-ud3
    16gb ram
    Psu
    Ssd and 1tb hdd

I have just purchased a ASUS gtx 1060 to go with it, yes it’s gonna be a tight fit

    So on with the modding

I had knocking around some c shaped metal

So using the trusty dremel I got to work shaping the metal to form my first mod in this superb case

I made 2 of these metal.... things
Then went on to try and mount them in the case, firstly I drilled one hole in the metal then marked up and drilled the case.
Finished off by tapping a case fan screw to secure.

I will only be securing one side of the 2 bars as I don’t think it will come loose, but can anyone guess what they are for? Here is a picture of both in the case

Sadly guys my endless supply of dremel discs ran out so this is where I stop right now, sorry it’s not much but keep looking as I have a few cool ideas for this little case

Next update will be final cuts made to bars and painted along with ...... attached

    Cheers thanks for looking

Could you post direct links to images instead of thumbnails? It is either we look at tiny pics or have to open every single pic.

    Update No 2

    Graphic card arrives!

So test fitted and as I thought there were some clearance issues..

So a little mod work and it’s in

Thankfully it fits in the top PCI slot! Gives me loads of room next to card...

Sadly the brackets in my last update are still not finished but here’s an idea of what they will look like..

Big wasted space down there too

    Until next time

    Another update

So started to paint the rails for the SSD’s and installed them

Also installed one exhaust fan along with a bit of cable management, luckily the motherboard stand off’s are rather high so wires can be hidden under the motherboard

    Motherboard installed

SSD wiring was slightly tricky lol

Tried to keep cables tidy it’s a hard task

AIO installed along with GPU time to test and install windows

Still to fit is 2 x 3.5” HDD cd drive oh and a 240 radiator

    Great start!

I am in the process of building a htpc myself.
Trying to reuse an old cheap case laid on it's side - so not as high profile as this one.
    - might borrow the rail-idea for my ssd & hdd!
